At Hupacha, I take your privacy seriously. On this page, I explain how the website handles cookies and website analytics. The short answer: as little as possible. I only use what’s strictly necessary.

Cookies are small text files placed on your computer, tablet or phone by a website when you visit it. They’re used to make the website function properly, to remember information (such as your shopping cart), or to analyse how visitors use the website.
Which cookies does this website use?
Necessary cookies (functional)
These cookies are essential for the webshop to function. Without them, the website won’t work properly. Examples include:
- Session cookie: remembers whether you’re logged in or have items in your shopping cart
- Cookie preferences: remembers your cookie preferences so they’re respected
These cookies are placed automatically and don’t require consent, as the website can’t function properly without them.

Analytics cookies
For website analysis, I use Matomo, a privacy-friendly tool that’s fully self-hosted. By default, server-side cookies are placed which are fully anonymised. This makes the cookies compliant with GDPR guidelines, meaning no consent is required. You can still turn this off under “Manage Cookies”. In that case, Matomo runs entirely cookie-free. The benefits compared to traditional tracking and cookies:
- Your IP address is anonymised
- You’re not tracked across different websites
- The data isn’t shared with third parties
- The data is stored on servers within the EU
- Cookies are optionally placed for improved functionality
Marketing cookies
This website places no marketing cookies and no third-party tracking pixels from Facebook, Google or other advertising networks. You’re therefore not tracked for advertising purposes.
Third-party cookies
When completing a payment, you’re redirected to the secure environment of the payment provider Mollie. This party may place its own cookies to process the payment securely. This falls under their own cookie policy.
Managing cookies
Matomo’s server-side cookies are placed by default. Since they’re anonymised, no initial consent is required. You can turn these off entirely, in which case Matomo runs cookie-free.
